About ICECS 2010

The acceleration of scientific achievement in the last few decades was enabled by computers. During this time significant changes have begun to occur in our natural environment as a result of technological development, social changes, and the massive production and consumption of computing equipment. The lifetime of a computer - production, use, and disposal - makes it closely tied to the environment. Its production involves trace metals and other substances that pose health hazards in the handling toxics in production and end-of-life processes. Computer use can lead to environmental benefits with the study complex environmental systems, greater ecological education, or enabling "paper-less" offices. Then at the end of a useful lifetime, computers create disposal challenges posed by hazardous materials present and difficulties in recycling.

After ICECS 2008 in Singapore and ICECS 2009 in Dubai, The ICECS 2010 is an international forum for the presentation of technological advances and research results in the fields of Environmental and Computer Engineering. The conference will bring together leading researchers, engineers and scientists in the domain of interest from around the world.

All full paper submissions will be peer reviewed and evaluated based on originality, technical and/or research content/depth, correctness, relevance to conference, contributions, and readability. The full paper submissions will be chosen based on technical merit, interest, applicability, and how well they fit a coherent and balanced technical program. The ICECS 2010 Proceeding will be published by Conference Publishing Service, which will be included in the IEEE Xplore, and submitted to INSPEC, Ei Compendex and Thomson ISI Proceeding for indexing. Prospective authors are kindly invited to submit full text papers including results, tables, figures and references. Full text papers (.pdf) will be accepted only by electronic submission, and .pdf and .doc will be accepted by E-mail: icecs@vip.163.com.
